My Badges and MOOC Certificates.

Badging is growing. I think it will take time to catch on, if ever, in higher education. However, for professional development, I find it a very attractive way to demonstrate continued learning and skill development. Here are the badges I have earned thus far via the Mozilla Open Badge project. (via Mozilla Backpack)

(Updated: January 22, 2015) I wish that Coursera offered badges rather than certificates, but they don’t. Perhaps they will in the future.

Not sure how long this link will work, but my Certificate of Accomplishment with Distinction became available today from the Internet History, Technology and Security MOOC I recently completed.

Certificate as an image is also here:

The “Central” Place

I don’t plan on using this site for a lot of content creation but mostly as a gathering place to republish what I am doing elsewhere on “teh interwebs“.  So, look around and see what you will find…photos I post, links I save, tweets I send, other blogs where I write and so on.

Have fun. Leave the key under the mat when you leave, please!
